When you get a Bulldog it is important to locate a vet that is well versed with the Breed. In the Salt Lake and surrounding areas we have found that the following vets work best with Bulldogs. These are also suggested based on our personal knowledge and experience, currently we go to Bayview Animal Clinic, Midvalley Animal Hospital, and Canyon’s Veterinary Clinic. All locations see Bulldogs frequently and have great staff!
Things that you should do prior to completing a visit is call and arrange a tour of the facility and ask how many Bulldogs they see. Also be sure to ask what the doctor knows about the breed as this will help gauge their experience with Bulldogs. Prior to us getting our Bulldogs we also asked several club members from The Bulldog Club of Utah where they took their Bulldogs and they also suggested these additional locations.
Be sure to make the visit fun and encouraging for your Bulldog as this will change the experience for all future visits. Positive enforcement is huge and you want to reward your Bulldog throughout the entire journey even during the ride to the office that way the associate the positive enforcement with the visit.
